2024 Rising Stars announced online include our two honorees:

Autumn Cherry, quality, fidelity and practice improvements manager, supports the hardworking case managers and supervisors in child welfare. By extension, her role supports the safety, permanency and well-being of children and promotes strong families. Autumn worked with a child on a difficult abuse case. Years later, the adoptive mother contacted her because the teenager wanted to reconnect. When they met, the young woman said she couldn’t remember what Autumn looked like, but she remembered that she made her feel safe and happy. That’s one rewarding memory of the meaningful work Autumn does each day.

Rubi Fournier-De Jesus

Rubi Fournier-De Jesus, unit manager for Escambia County Case Management, works diligently every day to protect children in our community. She provides care and services to the often-forgotten members of Escambia County. Rubi wants to make a positive impact on children and families to help them grow and have hopeful futures. The most rewarding part of her job is the task at-hand each day. Any time her unit is involved in the safe, successful reunification of a child, she feels rewarded and fortunate to do this work.

Each year, Inweekly recognizes under 40-year-olds in the community whom their peers, clients, and bosses see as up-and-coming leaders in their professions. The publication has celebrated more than 600 men and women a broad range of professions as Rising Stars.
