FamiliesFirst Network’s adoptions team has been recognized as Team Member of the Year in honor of their dedication and impact in helping children find loving, permanent homes. Their hard work was further validated on a national level with the prestigious Adoption Excellence Award from the Children’s Bureau, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

FamiliesFirst Network provides child welfare, foster care and adoption services across Northwest Florida. The national Adoption Excellence Award was presented at an event in Washington, D.C., in November – National Adoption Month – recognizing organizations that demonstrate outstanding achievements in adoption and child welfare. FamiliesFirst Network was selected for its exceptional adoption recruitment efforts, innovative outreach initiatives, and commitment to streamlining the adoption process – all leading to a record number of children finding forever families over the past two years.

Through creative outreach, digital engagement and strong community partnerships, FamiliesFirst Network’s adoptions team has played a pivotal role in increasing the number of children placed into permanent homes. Their work led to an impressive 350 adoptions finalized in fiscal year 2024 and 357 in fiscal year 2023.

Beyond placing children in homes, the team goes above and beyond to support families throughout the adoption process, ensuring they feel prepared, informed and empowered. Their compassion and commitment have made a profound difference in the lives of children and families.
