For Megan Hays, benefits specialist at LifeView Group, parent company of FamiliesFirst Network, growth has been a natural part of her journey from the day she joined the organization. What began as a recommendation from a friend turned into a career spanning more than a decade of service, innovation and teamwork.
“A friend of mine, who at the time also worked here, told me about an open position,” Megan recalled. “That’s where my journey started.” She later transferred to the Benefits Department as a benefits coordinator and eventually earned a promotion to benefits specialist.
In her current role, Megan helps team members navigate enrollments, benefit changes and insurance issues while ensuring data accuracy across systems and vendors. “Our department deals with all aspects of life,” she said. “It’s nice knowing we’re here to listen and help when we can.”
Collaboration has been a hallmark of Megan’s time at Lakeview Center. She recalls a moment when her team had to manually process thousands of benefits records under a tight deadline.
“It was one of the worst of times and one of the best times, yet we accomplished our goal. When collaboration happens, it’s like a group of brains melding together to make something possible.”
Her manager, Keri Scott, describes Megan as a “powerful yet often unseen force. Megan consistently embodies our company values in all her interactions.”
Megan played an instrumental role in the internal and external benefits survey project, compiling research, connecting with local HR professionals and developing questions to evaluate LifeView Group’s benefit offerings. She also initiated a department workgroup to improve communication across HR functions—an effort that continues to strengthen collaboration and transparency.
Known for her attention to detail and team spirit, Megan is also deeply compassionate. “Megan has a servant’s heart,” Keri said. “She’s taken care of her work family in countless ways—whether it’s lending a listening ear, sending care baskets or having dinner delivered to a teammate in need.”
Over her 11 years with the organization, Megan has received a Champions Award, a Certificate in Health Plan Navigation and recognition for 10 years of service in 2023.
Her advice to new team members? “Find someone to laugh with—it will make all the difference on a really tough day.”
