
Kathryn Burns has over 20 years of experience in child welfare, including roles in case management, adoptions, unit management, quality assurance and training. She has been a dedicated part of FamiliesFirst Network since 2005 and currently serves as Team Manager for the Okaloosa and Walton Counties Judicial Units.
Kathryn holds dual bachelor’s degrees in psychology and criminal justice from the University of West Florida. She is CIRRT (Critical Incident Rapid Response Team) certified and is passionate about mentoring staff, enhancing service delivery and improving outcomes for children and families.
Kathryn is a 2024 United Way 40 Under 40 honoree and is deeply committed to supporting parents through their challenges, with the goal of safely reunifying families whenever possible.
