Melody Kohr brings over 20 years of experience in child welfare to her role as program lead for Young Adult Services at FamiliesFirst Network. A proud Pensacola native and mom of two, Melody has dedicated her career to helping youth aging out of foster care build independence and thrive.

Her journey began at a boys’ group home shortly after college, where she discovered her passion for supporting teens through life’s challenges. When FamiliesFirst Network launched its Independent Living program—now Young Adult Services—Melody found her calling. Today, she and her team provide guidance, resources, and advocacy to help young adults develop the skills and confidence they need for a successful future.

Melody’s commitment goes beyond program leadership. She works tirelessly to address housing stability, foster community partnerships, and stay current on best practices through ongoing professional development.
